Hairball

Hairball: A wad of swallowed hair. Hairballs can sometimes be found to cause blockage of the digestive system, especially at the exit of the stomach.

Interestingly, in the Far East culture, hairballs are felt to have medicinal properties!

Also called a trichobezoar.
