What is the most important information I should know about Majorcon?· Do not take more of this medication than is directed. What is Majorcon?· Majorcon allows gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines to come together more easily, which allows for easier passage of gas. · Majorcon is used to relieve painful pressure that is caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines. This gas may occur in many circumstances, including air swallowing, indigestion, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulosis, and after surgery. · Majorcon may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide. What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Majorcon?· Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you ·have liver or kidney disease, ·have any type of serious illness, ·are pregnant, or ·are breast-feeding. · You may not be able to take Majorcon or you may need special monitoring during treatment if you have any of the conditions listed above. How should I take Majorcon?· Take Majorcon exactly as directed in the package instructions or as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. · Swallow the tablets and capsules with a full glass of water. · Chew the chewable tablets thoroughly before swallowing. · Shake the drops well before using them. To make administration easier, the drops can be mixed with 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of water, infant formula, or another liquid. · Majorcon is usually taken after meals and at bedtime. · Do not take more of this medication than is directed. · Children younger than 2 years of age should not take more than 240 mg of Majorcon in 1 day. Children older than 2 years of age and adults should not take more than 500 mg in 1 day. · Store Majorcon at room temperature away from moisture and heat. What happens if I miss a dose?· Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularly scheduled dose. What happens if I overdose?· An overdose of Majorcon is unlikely to be life threatening. If an overdose is suspected, call an emergency room or a poison control center for advice. What should I avoid while taking Majorcon?· There are no restrictions on foods, beverages, or activities while taking Majorcon unless your doctor directs otherwise. What are the possible side effects of Majorcon?· No side effects are known to be associated with the use of Majorcon. · Talk to your doctor if you experience any unusual or bothersome side effects. What other drugs will affect Majorcon?· Tell your doctor and pharmacist that you are taking Majorcon if you take any other medicines. Your doctor and pharmacist may want to check your therapy for interactions.
