What are P-1000?

· P-1000 are found in the rind of green citrus fruits and in rose hips and black currants.

· There is no established need for P-1000 in human nutrition. P-1000 have been used historically in a variety of disease states including Rheumatic fever, habitual abortion, poliomyelitis, prevention of bleeding, rheumatoid arthritis, periodontal disease, diabetic retinitis, and others.

· P-1000 may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

 

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking P-1000?

· Before taking P-1000, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or health care professional if you have any other medical conditions, allergies, or if you take other medicines or other herbal/health supplements.

· Do not take P-1000 without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. It is not known whether P-1000 will be harmful to an unborn baby.

· Do not take P-1000 without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. It is not known whether P-1000 will be harmful to a nursing infant.

 

How should I take P-1000?

· Take P-1000 exactly as directed by your doctor or as directed on the package. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.

· Swallow each nonchewable dose (tablets and capsules) with a full glass of water.

· Do not crush, chew, or break the sustained-release formulations of P-1000, swallow them whole. These are specially formulated to release slowly into the body.

· Do not take more P-1000 than is directed by your doctor or on the package.

· Store P-1000 at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

 

What happens if I miss a dose?

· No information is available regarding a missed dose of P-1000. Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or health care professional if you require further information.

 

What happens if I overdose?

· No information is available regarding an overdose of P-1000. Consult a poison control center or an emergency room if you require further information. Symptoms of a P-1000 overdose are not known.

· There are no known restrictions on food, beverages, or activities while you are taking P-1000 unless otherwise directed by your health care provider.

 

What are the possible side effects of P-1000?

· Stop taking P-1000 and seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives).

· No other side effects have been reported with the use of P-1000. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
